La Grange is an ode to ancient timber, ceramic tiles, hand cut stone from a bygone age, exposed beams, and creaky well-trodden floors.   This six-bedroom 18th century wood and stone barn oozes history and wraps you into its warm embrace. Although many of its original features have been retained within its cavernous, rustic interior, La Grange offers its guests all mod-cons – including a super-swish dining kitchen, eco-friendly wood fired hot tub and good wifi. If only walls could talk………….

The Wow Factor starts as soon as you enter the hall with its double height ceilings and squashy armchairs. This leads into the super swish farmhouse kitchen, with its island/breakfast bar and dining table, which has everything you could possibly need and makes cooking a joy – French windows lead onto one of terraces where there is a large dining table and chairs, the new eco-friendly wood fired hot tub and gas BBQ.  Although you will spend most of your time outdoors, the huge sitting room has an enormous fireplace and comfy sofas for a snooze with a book during the heat of the day. The generous welcome pack of local produce is perfect for your first evening with us.

There are two staircases - the central one leads to the “old side” of the house with three bedrooms (the fabulous master with a wow of creative décor, has an en-suite bathroom) and three bathrooms, plus three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the “new” side.

To the front of the house are the well-tended Mediterranean gardens with a good size private fenced swimming pool which can be heated upon request at an extra cost.  To the rear of the house are extensive lawned areas which are perfect for kicking a ball around or just lazing under one of the gnarled old trees.   This area is incredibly private and has delightful views across the rural landscape towards the neighbouring lake.
